MY CRAZY LIFE

SPRING BREAK CONT.

This was Tuesday. We left around 10 am and headed up to Estes Park, CO., which is about a hour trip from my grandma's house. There was eight of us in one vehicle so Sabrina, and her family of 3, drove their own car. Because of the curves of the road and my car-sickly daughter, we had to stop and let Ashley out for a while. She got in the car with Sabrina and was fine the rest of the way up the mountain. When we got there, we had first class vittles, and then went shopping.

Don't y'all think Payton and Aria {my second cousin} could be brother and sister? They aren't even blood related and yet sooo cute together. Aria called Payton her brother when we were together. Also, Alle and Ashley are two peas in a pod. Alle is a couple of years younger than Ashley, but they had so much in common. Before we left Colorado, they decided that they would be pen pals. Christopher was kind of the odd man out, but I think the little ones thought that he was their big brother and treated him as such.

We all found some great deals while shopping. Of course, there were t-shirts for everyone and a hat for dad, even though he wasn't there with us. I also found a Arkansas Razorback Christmas stocking for Mike in this awesome, year round Christmas store. What are the odds, you go to Colorado and find something from Arkansas.
What a great time we had with family. It was so good to see all of you and I can't wait to see you again. Y'all are welcome in Texas anytime. Marla, you and Ken need come stay with us sometime.

More to post soon...

Pictures to come

I am back at work today (Saturday) after a week in Colorado. What a great time we had, but a long trip. My kids did unexpectedly well riding in the car for eighteen hours.

It was wonderful to see my family in Colorado. Favorite thing about Colorado: Being told how much I am like my mother. Least favorite thing: Snow on the mountains. JUST KIDDING. How could anyone not love the beautiful sight of snow on the mountain tops.

My children and nephew came in muddy and wet the first day we were there, because of the left over snow from several weeks ago. They were trying to build slides and make snowballs out of a small amount of snow. We are soooo Texan!!

As expected, I ate to much while I was there. But that is one thing I love about my Grandma's house. She always has Little Debbie Snacks, Klondike bars (Yum! Yum!), and of course Dr. Pepper. I just can't resist.

When I am able to get home and have access to my pictures, I will post more.

UNTIL THEN

A WRINKLE IN TIME

I was just looking back at some pictures of when Payton was born and thought this was such a cute picture of Ashley and Payton. WOW!! It seems as if it were just last week that he was born and Ashley was in Kindergarten. How time flies (whether you are having fun or not).
The real reason that I put this picture on my blogspot is because I cannot figure out how to get it from my digital camera to the computer that I am using. I can view the pictures, but not upload them. This is our "very old" and "very slow" computer I am using until the other one gets back from repair.
The kids and I will be leaving for Colorado on Thursday. Everyone is so excited. Bags are almost packed. My car is organized. Laundry is caught up. The only thing left to do is go. It will take us about 18 hours to get to Greeley. We will be staying in Lubbock on Thursday night and will drive on up the next day.
OK.... so to anyone who is reading this, please pray for us as we travel. Specifically for safety on the road, for my children to get along and be entertained by one another and their large bag of fun stuff to do, and I know this is minor, but our portable DVD player quit working yesterday and I would love for it to start working again. Also, pray for the weather, and Mike as he will be home alone. I have a long list of stuff that he can get done for me while I am gone, but he will be working also.
Anyway, I can't wait to share pictures. (Hopefully my computer will be back by that time).
Have a safe and wonderful Spring Break!!!
